Mukhyamantri Medha Chhatravriti Yojana has been released to provide scholarships. Under this scheme, selected students are provided scholarships of ₹ 12,000/year from class 9 to 12. Students are selected for scholarship on the basis of competitive examination. The responsibility of organizing the competitive examination has been given to Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC).

• Under the Chief Minister’s Medha Scholarship Scheme, a total of 5000 seats reserved for students every year and the students are selected for the scholarship on the basis of a competitive examination.
• Only a maximum of 400 students are selected from each district and all the selected students are provided an annual scholarship of Rs 12,000/- from class 9 to 12.
• Selected students can take admission in any school (CBSE/ICSE or any other school) within the state.
